Connecting2u is a free text messaging service that supports Queensland parents and carers during pregnancy (antenatal) and in the first five years of their child’s life. You will receive helpful information to boost health, development, and overall wellbeing. There are two messaging services on offer: Antenatal and 0-5 Years. Once your baby is born, you can opt out of the pregnancy (antenatal) messages and sign up to receive the 0-5 years messages.

They’re currently seeking community-minded individuals to join their Clinical or Community Advisory Council.
Community members with lived experience (patients, carers, or mental health consumers), people from First Nations and multicultural backgrounds, youth and seniors, LGBTQIA+ people, people with disability, and community representatives from across our region (Logan, Inala, Beaudesert, Southern Moreton Bay Islands).
Clinicians working in our region, particularly those with experience in disability, child or youth health. Previous committee experience is welcome but not essential.

General Practitioners (GP) Grant Program

The Victorian Government is offering up to 800 grants to eligible doctors in Victoria as a financial incentive and to cover the exam costs for GP training.

RACGP and ACRRM, as administrators, will administer and distribute the grants. After they have been successfully enrolled into one of the relevant GP training programs, applicants can apply for a grant by submitting an application to the administrators via their websites.
As part of the application process, applicants must agree that they are aware of the requirements of the GP grant program and the terms of the grant agreement. By submitting an application form, applicants agree that if they are successful, they will be bound by a grant agreement between themselves and an administrator.
If the application is successful, applicants will be notified via email. This will form an agreement between the successful applicant and the Administrator on the terms and conditions of the Grant Agreement, as comprised in the application form, the Terms and Conditions outlined in the Program Guidelines and other terms as determined by the Administrators.
If an applicant is successful in applying for the GP grant program, the applicant will need to provide their Australian bank account details to their responsible administrator to indicate where they would like the grant paid.
Applicants can only apply for one grant and will receive a maximum amount of $40,000.

Research within the Indigenous Futures Centre is framed around 3 themes: Health & Wellbeing, Law & Justice and Education & Economies.
The PhD program will foster the future generation of promising Indigenous researchers trained through the Centre’s comprehensive Indigenous leadership, mentorship and capacity building program.
The Indigenous Futures Centre provides the ideal opportunity to build strength and research capacity by supporting next generation of Indigenous scholars with the support of the current Indigenous thought leaders.
