Global Initiatives with Dr Moni Kami, MyLocalDoc

Through MyLocalDoc’s Global Initiatives Program, in partnership with GAIN, five medical clinics were delivered to communities needing healthcare most in Fiji. 💙

Representing the MyLocalDoc Caloundra team, Dr Moni Kami brought a wealth of international experience to the program. After completing General Practice training through the University of London, he worked in the UK for 12 years before moving to Australia with his family and earning his Fellowship with the RACGP. Dr Kami has also served communities in Papua New Guinea and Tonga.

Together, the team has already helped more than 600 people during this trip.

One of the most heartwarming moments has been watching people try on their newly donated glasses for the very first time — the joy on their faces said it all.

There’s something incredibly powerful about people from different backgrounds coming together with one shared purpose: bringing hope through healthcare.
